Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc to take part in UN Fourth Committee hearings on Western Sahara

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc before the UN Fourth Committee
Continuing its civic work on issues of decolonisation and the rights of peoples, the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc is taking part in the hearings of the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly on the question of Western Sahara, during the 81st session of the General Assembly.
This participation reflects the role of civil society in bringing peoples' concerns and causes to international forums, while respecting the frameworks and procedures adopted by the United Nations.
The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc will be represented on this occasion, as an Algerian civil-society organisation, to defend the positions and principles it upholds, first and foremost the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, an end to colonisation, and respect for international law and United Nations resolutions.
United Nations documents show that the Fourth Committee continues to consider the question of Western Sahara within the framework of decolonisation, and that hearings of petitioners on Western Sahara are scheduled as part of the 81st session.
A participation we are proud of and a responsibility we take very seriously, in the service of civic dialogue, peace and the right of peoples to self-determination.
One Homeland, One Nation, One History, One Destiny
