Algeria is no one's sphere of influence, and its sovereignty is not up for bargaining.

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc supports Algeria's decision to sever diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates, as a sovereign decision linked to protecting the higher interests of the Algerian State.

We also reject any foreign interference in the Sahel region that could destabilise the countries of the region or create threats to the security of Algeria and its regional environment.

As a national civil-society organisation, our duty is to raise awareness, protect the unity of society, counter disinformation and attempts to sow discord, and stand clearly with Algeria's sovereignty, security and independent decision-making.

Whoever undermines Algeria's sovereignty crosses a red line we will not accept.

Algeria first… and its sovereignty above all else.
