Adrar: Bloc coordinator co-leads a drug-awareness day for inmates of the local prison

At the kind invitation of the Youth and Sports Directorate of the wilaya of Adrar, represented by the Nouari Boudaoud youth centre, Ms Meriem Fettati, coordinator of the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc's wilaya office in Adrar, helped lead an awareness day for inmates of the Adrar penal institution on the theme “Drugs and psychotropic substances and their impact on the individual and society”.

The initiative brought together a group of specialists, including a judge from the Adrar court, the dean of the penal institution, and a doctor who is a member of the Algerian Red Crescent's wilaya committee in Adrar, as part of joint efforts to raise awareness and prevent drug abuse and its health, social and legal consequences.

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc is proud of its cadres' participation in such worthwhile initiatives, in the belief that awareness-raising, guidance and intellectual and human support are key pillars of reintegration and of protecting young people and society from social ills.
