Bloc congratulates the Algerian Red Crescent on its election as Arab organisation's deputy secretary-general

The Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc extends its sincere congratulations to the Algerian Red Crescent on its election, by absolute majority, as Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, an achievement that reflects the prominent standing Algeria now enjoys in humanitarian action and humanitarian diplomacy.

This election is not merely a recognition of a long-established national institution; it is an Arab acknowledgement of the Algerian Red Crescent's competence and professionalism, and a sign of confidence in its ability to help shape Arab humanitarian policy, strengthen coordination among Red Crescent and Red Cross societies, and develop relief and disaster-response programmes for the benefit of humanitarian causes in the region.

The post is also an opportunity to strengthen Algeria's presence within Arab humanitarian bodies, broaden cooperation and partnerships, and host regional initiatives and programmes, consolidating our country's position as a key actor in humanitarian and solidarity work.

On this occasion, the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc wishes the Algerian Red Crescent every success in this responsibility, in the service of humanity, to Algeria's credit and in support of its leading role in solidarity and humanitarian action.

Congratulations to the Algerian Red Crescent, with our wishes for continued distinction and success in serving the nation and humanity.
