Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc officially joins the One Million Trees planting drive on 25 October 2025

Official statement by the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc Foundation

Algiers, 20 October 2025

As part of national efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainable development, the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc Foundation announces its official participation in the project to plant one million trees, scheduled for 25 October 2025 across all the country's wilayas.

This national environmental project is in line with the Foundation's vision of supporting citizen initiatives to protect the environment and encouraging community participation in building a green Algeria able to face climate change and future environmental challenges.

The Foundation calls on all its members, especially young people, to take an active part on the ground by planting trees in neighbourhoods, squares, along roads and in schools. It also urges its wilaya coordinators to organise local campaigns in cooperation with the authorities and civil society to ensure the widest possible participation.

The Foundation stresses that protecting the environment is a collective responsibility: planting a tree is planting hope and life, and contributing to a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Together, let us plant life in the name of the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc.
