Morocco under the human rights spotlight: repression at home and normalisation abroad paint a worrying picture

By Mr Djelloul Chetouane, President of the Hisn Al-Mateen Bloc Foundation

In today's issue of the daily Africa News, an analytical article sheds light on the human rights situation in Morocco, where violations are worsening between the suppression of freedoms at home and accelerating normalisation with the Zionist entity.

The article exposes:

  • the suppression of free voices and the independent press;
  • the muzzling of opinion and the demonisation of protesters;
  • the use of the judiciary to settle political scores;
  • the targeting of activists in Western Sahara;
  • the double standards of official discourse at home and abroad.

A call to all free people and living consciences: silence in the face of injustice is complicity; the cause of peoples does not die with normalisation, but prevails through right and steadfastness.
