Algeria’s presidency of the UN Security Council: an opportunity to support Palestinian rights

Algeria’s presidency of the highest international body responsible for international peace and security is a golden opportunity to expand its committed diplomatic role in defending Palestinian rights.

Algeria will be a guardian of international justice in the face of continuing Zionist crimes that disregard international law. The time has come to apply diplomatic, legal and political pressure on states that support the Israeli occupation and are complicit in war crimes.

We expect Algeria, in its current term, to broaden support for Palestinian rights and to bring the force of law to bear on all parties complicit with the occupation in these crimes, practising a committed diplomacy that puts an end to this aggression.

Algeria will remain faithful to Palestinian rights; its diplomacy has helped narrow the occupation’s room for manoeuvre, so as to impose international justice through the force of law.
